Project Overview

Build a on-line training course catalogue for internal employees and external customers to view over 1200 Network Rail courses. With 3 dynamic views for desktop, tablet and mobile views. A large database was needed to be built, with backend admin functionality.

Advanced algorithms were created to allow course functions to search in a unique way, to allow the user to find out what pre-requisites they would need to attention a given course and what accreditation they would gain on course completion.

01. Development

This is a Linux platform development. 3 algorithms were developed to aid 3 hidden functions to allow Network Rail admin staff to do auto processing of several time saving tasks. Also, we built & used predictive algorithms to aid unique course search functionality.

02. Concept Design

We created a clean intuitive design that allows the user easy navigation and use of functions. Design had 3 views targeted for desktop, tablet and mobile views.

03. Implementation

Development time was 6 months. Had a successful launch. Has 600k page views averaging user engagement of 2min 51 seconds per session.

04. Design Pride

Kept to Network Rails branding guidelines while designing the custom user functionality and hidden administration functions.
